		<description>In, out of doors, one of my favourite radio programs, there was an interesting feature today (16/5/09)on a black stag seen from a bus by a listener. the excellent research done revealed that fallow deer are often black and a white one is a &quot;throwback&quot; of a black one. So a recessive gene causes the white deer and is not an albino, hence the dark eyes I noted, but is in fact the opposite, it is  an atavistic melanic deer. Not often you get to say that!
It would therefore appear my white deer is a fallow.</description>
