On the 19/9/12 and subsequently to the 26/9/12 there are thousands of grey geese just south of Blackford in there usual place in that shallow valley between Blackford and south of Auchterader. And Hirundines still remain, autumn in summer out.

After cutting the last of my logs, about 5pm, I had a whisky in the garden and just stood still for 1/2 an hour. I feel we should do this more often instead of moving from task to task, maybe it was the whisky, maybe it was the last of the martins migrating with the pink feet geese in the same blue sky, maybe it was listening to three Robins whilst watching a wren? I came inside for a top up feeling all was well with the World despite knowing it’s not.

Sometimes its nice to lose yourself in the simple, small things in life. This provides a feeling that everything is right in your own world, which is no bad thing. There is so much wrong in the world and daily stresses in ones day to day life that its difficult to find peace. Persoanlly I find it watching and fishing the river (sometimes beer and whisky can be involved), other times it can be relaxing on my kick ass couch watching a film with the wood burner on.

Everyone should find their own way to lose themselves for a while and find peace.

U Gonna rename the cottage Nirvana?
The sound of running river water is peaceable, except when you’re in Dura den and half your hoose has gone!
Again the living flame may be a link to our “cave” past, comfort and a cooker.
